This past Sunday I was in need of an appetizer to serve at a dinner I was hosting for friends who were out of town, so I figured I'd put together a dish that was made up of ingredients grown practically down the street. Is it just me or does it just taste better knowing veggies are harvested with love? After traveling in Italy last month, I've carried on my passion for fresh dishes and refreshments like caprese salad and peach wine, so it was a no-brainer to share our 'Italian Summer' with friends!
Luckily for me, our Farmer's Market had everything I needed; fresh bread, tomatoes, basil, olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette...ok, everything except for the mozzarella. Before no time I was ready to make my way back to prep a starter that will have my friends feeling like they're in Bella Italia!
A trip well spent to the market if I do say so myself, especially in this lightweight and darling 'Misty Blue Bell Sleeve Waffle Top.' The perfect outfit for sunny, breezy Sundays, walks around the neighborhood, trip to the beach, hanging around the house and everything in between!
